Go kart wheels and tires come in a large variety of sizes and styles for every need and budget. These can range from large, F-1 style track ready tires used on high performance racing go karts, to oversized off road go kart tires and wheels designed to overcome the bumps and inclines faced in off road terrain.
Standard Go Kart Wheels For Sale
Standard go kart wheels can be found for sale at 4”, 5” and 6” specifications. These usually will fit into the 4.10×3.50 pattern.
2 piece split steel go kart wheels have been the traditional standby wheel. They usually have 4 bolts. Split wheels also will require separate hubs to bolt the wheels in place as well as hold the bearings. None drive wheels require only a single flange hub.
Go Kart Tires For Sale – Treads
Go kart tires can commonly be found for sale with the following tread patterns: slicks, used in high end track racing, as well as ribbed and the traditional knobby design. The type of go kart tires you’ll choose will depend on your requirements and budget. Ribbed go kart tires offer a nice balance between solid traction and slower wear, while knobby tires wear out fairly quickly.
Go kart tires can also be found for sale in a “tubeless” configuration, though these require your go kart to have tubeless rims.
Go Kart Bearings
Go kart bearings for your wheels usually need to be purchased separately. The standard sizes are 5/8 inches, or ¾ inches. The quality of the bearings you purchase depends primarily on your budget and needs. You can purchase low speed bearings that can handle speeds of up to 25 MPH, and these are the ones we recommend for most go karts that don’t require high performance go kart parts.
You can also use hand truck bearings in your go kart if you are really on a budget, but we highly advise against this, as these are not designed to take the wear and tear associated with a motorized kart.
